Growing happy, creative learners for life in Beenleigh Logan

Beenleigh Montessori Early Learning Centre has been owned and operated by the same local family for 25 years. Formerly The Children’s Centre of Beenleigh, our centre has undergone an exciting transformation to a Montessori Philosophy and Education approach under the guidance of one of Australia’s foremost Montessori teachers.

We provide a learning environment that supports independence and freedom with purposeful materials where our educators are Guides and Peacekeepers.

A vibrant and welcoming 65 place centre, we provide education and care to children from 15 months to 5 years of age along with before and after school care and vacation care to school age children.

Long day care is available from Monday to Friday from 6.15am to 6.15pm. We are open 52 weeks of the year, except for public holidays.

Learning from A Montessori Perspective

Early Childhood is an important time for children where they will develop their personality and build a strong foundation for lifelong lessons. Our aim at Beenleigh Montessori is to create a Montessori framework that enables children to develop confidence and independence in their ability. It is important to us to prepare a learning environment with purposeful materials that are enjoyable, thoughtful, challenging, and rewarding.

We use the five curriculum areas of Sensorial, Practical Life, Language, Culture and Mathematics to introduce the fundamental learning concepts to children under six years.

 FAQs

Learn more about Beenleigh Montessori and your family’s journey with Montessori education below. If you have a question that’s not listed below, please contact us on 07 3807 5297.

  • We currently have availability for children 15 months to five years. We may have some limited availability for before and after school care. Please call us on 07 3807 5297 to find a place for your child.

  • We provide a discount for children that attend the centre five days a week. We are also pleased to be a State Government approved kindergarten provider which gives families 15 hours of free Kindy per week for 40 weeks per year.

  • There are no minimum number of required days per week. The advantages, however, of a child who has frequent exposure to high-quality childcare are very beneficial. Your child will benefit from structure, routine and a sense of security as they know what to expect on their childcare days.

  • We do not have an enrolment or waitlist fee. Two weeks of fees are required to be paid before your child’s first day. Thereafter, fees must always be paid either weekly or fortnightly in advance.

  • Montessori education is a preparation for life. Independence, confidence, and an inquiring mind are the results of this education, achieved through a sense of order and respect. Montessori is a sensorial education, and the children are effortlessly able to classify and categorise their world through the work in the Prepared Environment of the Montessori classroom. The work is sequential in order and moves from concrete sensorial experiences to abstract understanding of the world. Montessori prepares the child to be a socially engaged and respectful member of society through these experiences.

  • Mixed-age classrooms encourage the social cohesion of the group. Younger children look to their older classmates as mentors and role models. Older children are leaders of the classroom and help the younger children. Within a three-year period, the children get to experience the complete cycle of social living within the group. Please note, we adhere to the departmental regulations regarding educator to child ratio requirements.
